Description

It's been rainy and gray here, but on Saturday the sun came out and it was almost 80F at my place! The weather is back to being dreary again, but that one day did wonders for the landscape. Flowers are starting to bloom, trees are beginning to turn green, and I finally believe Spring is really going to happen! :) It generally does, of course, but this has been a LONG winter. So I thought I'd take a little commercial break from showing you my neighborhood beach, and bring you a bit of lovely Spring sunshine with this parrot tulip. Speaking of that series, the last image in my gallery "Solitude ... a collaboration" was up for about a day, and then got moved elsewhere on site. (It's a long story.) It's back in the Photography gallery now, thanks to our moderators, (thanks again, Bruce!) so if you missed it, you can see it here.

Beautiful!! Spring is trying to arrive here, but it's so cold and windy. ;o) It's only April, and this has been the most indecisive month in the year. It cannot decide whether to be winter or spring, yet. I love these kinds of tulips, called parrot tulips, I think.

What a beautiful tulip and you did a fantastic job of photographing it for us. I hope it doesn't get snowed on this weekend. We had 80 degrees last Saturday and this Saturday they are predicting hail and snow. I want spring on a permanent basis ...not just a one day teaser! At least this is what is predicted for our area of Oregon this weekend.

Hailstone here yesterday Tara touched with snow I might add, and more to come is the forecast. I do so wish Spring would hurry up and get here, the winter has been long but not too harsh. Wonderful and colourful capture, Pauline has just passed and said how wonderful it is as well Tara, she doesn't comment that much on anyhing to do with the computer so that is a big compliment indeed. It actually stopped her in her tracks, and she viewed it for several seconds(a lifetime to her) Lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
