Description

A couple of months ago Elizabeth aka G_Mansco posted a photograph of a fan. I have the same fan, and she got me started thinking about things I could do with it! (See her gallery post for February 29th.) I took a whole bunch of shots, and this was the one I liked best. The reason my fan is dark along the upper edge where Elizabeth's is not, is that one day a year or so ago I picked up the fan and it slipped out of my hand and fell, plop!, into my glass of Drambuie. (I am a VERY light drinker, and was totally sober at the time. Really!) It dried to a beautiful shade, don't you think? And yes, I still drank the Scotch, in case you're wondering, and suffered no ill effects. I'm sure the alcohol killed any germs that may have been on the fan, and it's probably a sin to waste even one jigger of Drambuie! I hope your weekend has been lovely! * hic! *

It look that nice I'd be tempted to soak the whole fan, then again that would be a waste, so forget that idea. Wonderful composition Tara, what are those blue flowers with what looks like a red pod underneath the bloom? A nice balance of colour I think and the fan does look pretty in the background. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

Lovely selection of colors and flowers in this. The fan is a great background. I am not much of a Drambuie advocate. A bit more bite than I can handle but I do like a gin and Fresca on occasion.

Lots of colour from this arrangement of flowers and after reading your drambuie story I can see the blush stain on the fan. I think there is alot to be said for alcohol killing germs.
