Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

Love the reds and diaphanous effects in this shot, which I prefer to think was not just a play, but an actual demonic event.

The reds and the shadows does make it look demonic:) Excellent capture sweetie Hugs Susan~

Very nice shot!

Very dramatic in black and red, so appropriately representative of the nature of the event. The audience add quite some depth and meaning.

What a hoot! A wonderful representation presented and your capture of it is great. The composition including the people sitting there watching it gives a feeling of being there.

A unique shot very different to what we usually find here on RR, an excellent composition with a feel of being in the audience. well done!

there's no doubt anymore that you and the theater are old companions, and you got all the magic and mystery of it again. You got the space, you got the intense & cloistered lighting, you got the juxtaposition of the dream of the play and the reality of the audience (that guy with the t-shirt brings us right back to 2008!), and the 'dream' is both intense & surreal, and at the same time just a plain old scrim in front of actors. (You got the eerie intensity of a nightmare yet you didn't shy away from allowing the scrim to be a 'scrim'. That duality is the magic of theater.) You're gonna have to work for the NYTimes, because there aren't many good theater photographers out there, and if they knew you were doing this for free in Minnesota maybe they'd pay you to cover it all over the world. (All that theater and no one's paying you to shoot it? Criminal...) I love this series!

Very nice scene! Well captured. Among my many interests are elements of shadow plays, shadow puppetry and such! This is a beautiful capture of something that appeals to me on multiple levels. I love the capture of the silhouettes and the sense of dynamic motion here! This image evokes quite a lot and I'm glad I saw it. The reds are wonderfully captured, and the whole image itself gives the sense of actually being a member of the audience, rather than just some viewer peeking at this through an electronic window! Great work.

Very wonderful capture my friend, this looks like they went to a lot of trouble to put on this amazing play
