Yesterday ACue wrote me that "April 22 is Earth Day and I'm asking some in the Poser Community to post images in the gallery, to commemorate the global event. I'm hoping that, as one of Renderosity's most accomplished artists, that you will take part as well. Consider it a personal challenge". Hmm… When I am seeing the images of some of you, I cannot consider myself as one of Renderosity’s most accomplished artists, LOL! For sure I have been a good Photoshop teacher for 4 years, I am also a professional illustrator, but in 3D I see myself only as an apprentice-sorcerer. I had very little time today, so I tried to create this layout quickly, but it is so important to do something… and I hope that in a near future (it is vital for mankind) everyday will be Earth Day! I started with the idea of a tyre, so I put a simple torus in the Cinema 4D space, and I added some Earth materials made by Oera. I created the letters in Illustrator CS3. Then I re-used a space BG image that I had created for my Photoshop teaching (a day you will have this with my cute Flying Chocolate in the scene), and I added this "tyry" Earth!
Have a heart for environment: prefer public transportation to individual one, and if you have to use the car, prefer smaller ones (engine with less than 1600cc, anyway less than 1900cc), do not over-heat and use air-conditionning only when absolutely necessary in very hot areas. This will save the Earth resources, reduce pollution, but also save food in Third World countries instead of transforming fields in huge petrol production units.
