Description

I was real lucky with on one of my visits to [you guessed it] the Kruger National Park when, barely 5 minutes after entering the park, this elephant breading herd was crossing the road a couple of meters away from us. It was a huge herd and they were in a hurry!! I didn't count them, but there could have easily been 30 or more of them. Thank you for visiting my gallery and for any comments posted. Hugs, Carin xx

It must be an amazing experience to be so near to such creatures on "their turf" even though we've displaced them. There is a great amount of regal dignity in this shot and you've captured it beautifully. I love the quality of the light as well, it brings out the skin textures as well as the ambient landscape colors perfectly! Fantastic and touching work!

Your photo makes me a bit "home Sick" I really have to create an opportunity to return for a few weeks to SA, and to see the fantastic wildlife with my own eyes, and especially to introduce my wife Déanne into this Wild-life-World. Thanks so much for sharing this capture, one out of the Big-five!! Have a wonderful day Henk
