My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wood is so personal, or at least it seems it is. this is a beautiful way of seeing it and the treasure tucked away in its pockets is a real bonus.

Remarkable textures caught here. Very fine work!

I se a face near to the stuff on the right, it's half black half grey, but I don't see the little person that Marilyn does. Is this the same one we had a preview of on TPBM in the forum? Excellent macro Tara, I have a love for wood in it's natural state, I do not have any wood painted in my house, I have it all varnished, only rarely is it stained. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

A stellar capture of what could be easily mistaken for a topographical map. Just dig all those loops and whorls in this convoluted display of driftwood! And, I do see the tortured face of a distraught man, placed in the wood long ago by a witch's evil spell. Who or what will free him from this terrible prison?
