I was certainly as close as I could be to this flower when I took the picture! See the petal at the bottom of the image? I believe it's touching the lens.
I'm starting to really dig backlighting! I may learn slowly, but I'm learning from you guys, nonetheless! :)
This was taken last summer in Ann's garden.

You can't get any closer than that unless you climb inside Tara, excellent macro. I especially like the green leaf lit from behind like that showing the veining in relief, the center of the flower showing fine detail even down to the pollen. Yes give the lens a good clean after touching it with the flower petal. I always have a lens brush and cloth with me where ever I go. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
