Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

What a kick. I would have had so much fun with this. Great shot.

OH WOW! Who says cartoonish stuff isn't realistic enough! It's hard to believe THIS is an optical illusion, but judging by teeny-weeny little hints in the capture itself, you can ALMOST see where and hot it's sitting! Amazing shot! A perfect capture! It kinda reminds me of a play on the police station in Flann O'Brien's "The Third Policeman" though this LOOKS three dimensional! Fantastic, fun, and wonderfully wacky image!

At least the external decoration would be relatively inexpensive! Mike

I like how the shadow on the wall at the back shows through the window of the building, but for it to do that there would be no back to the building, no back wall that is, plus the building would make the whole wall in that area into shadow. A though provoking shot if there ever was Marilyn. I would have tried to get someone to stand in front of this. A very puzzling capture, was there no explanation with it? Like my upload of yesterday, WHY? A super dooper upload, a fun funny capture. I love it. Bravo!!!!!

It's most interesting how they do these things. There's an optical illusion room in the Baltimore Science Center that when you go thru it, walls become angled and skewed and you think everything is coming down upon your head.
