Lime griped, "I didn't know worming through that tube would tear my clothes off." Jeet the squirrel-derived beastman,looked her over and laughed, "You got nothing wrong with you, little green sprout!" Narchi worked hard to maneuver Neon from the capacitor loading room. Her legs wear like rubber and she staggered like a drunkard. "Something wrong with Neon!" "My head is on fire...my skull, my brain is melting. So hot, my head....Nmmmmnnggg." Neon was bleeding from her eyes, nose and ears and looked like she was watching things not there. Her face was swollen and she was mostly unresponsive. Lime said, "Out that door and follow the walk-way around to the left to the stair and up we go., the door to the fuel-loading controls is probably locked....or SOMETHING!" Jeet frowned and retorted, "Something like a steel-plate welded in place of a door?" Jeet stopped and looked around corner and down the two mile drop outside the door. "Oh. Shit." Narchi asked,"Oh Shit?" Lime said in fear, "The walkway! Where is the WALKWAY? It's only SIX INCHES WIDE? The controls are in the armored control office...they must be in...there. Omygod,ohmygod,ohmygod we're are ALL going to die. They send down a tunnel-runner and it'll kill us all." Jeet shot her a sharp look and said calmly,"LIME, shut up. Take a deep breath and just breathe. We're not dead, yet." He turned to Narchi and said, "Weapon check?" Narchi frowned. "Diplomatic package. Ceramic switchblade, and a taser-snap-rod. Won't do shit to a tunnel-runner." Narchi shook Neon and said harshly, "Neon! Snap to! Weapons?" Neon read off,"Detpack, remote detonator, AI-splicer,lock-bypass set, two smoke grenades-anti-laser, Hold-Out pistol Plus-caster type two. That's all." Lime said,"Easy to slice green lunch meat me." Jeet patted her and reeled off, "Pair of 200 ft monofilament caster-winches, power-filament cutter two meter length, and one ceramic switchblade" Narchi said,"We are so screwed. Neon can't climb, she can barely stand. Whatever she and Tall White Lady did up there to enable us to escape, almost fried her mind, and left her no better than a ragdoll. Lucky she's skinny as a snake, or I'd not dragged her this far!" Jeet looked out the door to the outside of the Flying City. He considered carefully and thought of his reserves and natural abilities. He checked the spy-eye he left behind. The troopers were just receiving the Tunnel-Runner, but hadn't unpacked it yet. He remarked,"Fortune favors the bold. I have an idea." Narchi swallowed hard and choked out,"You say that EVERY TIME you have an insane idea that leaves me dangling in front of a two hundred tall MONSTER, or group of killer robots in the DownDeep-DownDeep!" Jeet shrugged. "It's all I got. Anybody have ANYTHING that'll save us?" Everyone looked despairingly around. Jeet nodded, and started to redistribute equipment around with terse words about his plan.
