June's a smart woman!!! Love this shot, you never know what you'll find at the beach. Maybe my son's tennis shoe made it over your way; he was about 3 when "the ocean took my shoe!!" and I had to convince him NOT to go after it!!

Oh Well spotted, Mick! It made me laugh at first, it's like those odd shoes you always see at the side of motorways, how on earth did it end up there. I used to keep hitting my hands on the doorframes, but it stopped when I upped my HRT! Don't know what the side effects are for blokes if they take it, though!

I wonder how much of it is actually under the sand Mick. The mentality of people that do this sort of thing baffles me, it always has. My job with the council was in the environmental management and for two years I was a township inspector and had to go round the borough looking for grott spots to get them cleaned up. I would assess what was needed and then get a gang out to sort things out. The number of fridges and freezers that were dumped was unbelievable and in lots of cases they had to drive past the recycling depots to dump them. Just like this bike, why do people do it? Rant over. Excellent capture mate, I wish the owner had the chain round his neck when he left it. Superb work. Bravo!!!!! Rums good for bumps on the head, drink enough and you don't feel it. Lol.

I hope that's all that's there and not the rider down under the sand! Strange things you find on a beach.

Yeah Mick too many bikes dumped everywhere, The Healey Dell shot that I uploaded few days back had a rusty old bike few inches under the water further down river. made me think I was being deceiptful when I got comments like "looks an idyllic place". However this is a fantastic find and makes a great subject for your capture, the fact that it is almst buried! nice one!

it never rains but pours!I know if this bike was given to some boys in Mexico it would be on the road being rode in a short time.I see so many bikes that are sold for scrap.years ago I carried 3 bikes to Mexico to give to an ex girlfriend's brothers and they had 2 repaired and riding in 20 minutes excellent capture
