Description

A recurring character from the Twilight Blades, a D&D Forgotten Realms campaign set in Aglarond drawn from the "Unapproachable East" by Richard Baker, Matt Forbeck & Sean K Reynolds. ““What darkness takes root so close that I can not see it?” Blindelsyn questioned herself, standing upon the balcony of the great palace tree and looking out over the green canopy of Relkath’s Foot. “Have I grown so apart from my people that I do not know them any more?” “No my lady.” She turned at the unexpected reply. She had not heard Dervila approach. A skilled ranger, the leader of the Masters of the Yuirwood, and perhaps her closest and most loyal friend, she had lost none of her woodscraft skills. “Forgive my intrusion my lady,” Dervila bowed respectfully, recognizing that she had surprised Blindelsyn. “I did not mean to startle you.” “You still move like the breeze,” Blindelsyn stepped toward her, “and though unexpected, you are most welcomed.” She embraced her tightly, pressing the warrior’s firm, muscular form against her and, feeling Dervila’s arms circle her, her heart lightened. Breaking their embrace, Blindelsyn looked deeply into Dervila’s face. A look of worry marked her lovely features, but her eyes gleamed with nothing but devotion… and love! A warm smile grew on Blindelsyn’s face, and Dervila’s expression softened in response, as they stood staring into each other’s eyes. Dervila had never seen a more beautiful creature then her beloved princess, and, many years ago, had sworn to serve her in anyway…” A distant descendent of Brindor, Aglarond’s first half-elven king, Blindelsyn is “princess of the Yuirwood”. Supported by the masters of the Yuirwood, and the predominately half-elven people of the forest, she, and her brother Branelwyr, are the recognized authority with in the woodland. Although pressured to "hear the call of her elven blood" by those who would reclaim all the land for the forest kingdom, she holds firm in her loyalty to the Simbul. Blindelsyn feels the winds of change sweeping over Aglarond, and the Yuirwood in particular, but whether it is a change for good or ill she has not decided. Blindelsyn watches the goings on in the ancient forest carefully, and is well aware of the Twilight Blades and their accomplishments. Even though most of its members would prefer to avoid recognition, she has raised them to the level of local heroes by publicly rewarding their efforts to protect the people of the Yuirwood. I went way to overboard with the "elfish" figure on my last version of Blindelsyn... She turned out looking like a skeleton. I think this version is more "natural" looking. Thanks for looking... Hope you enjoy! Comments and suggestions always welcome and appriciated!
