Description

More from the Zoo trip. Me and JeffG7BRJ encountered more difficulties with focussing through wire netting/Mesh again but I thought this one worth uploading. I keep deleting more and more as I scroll through the 400 hundred lol. Thanks to some of the other members who have been bold enough to say that they also take hundreds and only get a handful of pictures worth uploading, gives you hope lol.

Alan, another remarkable shot. Anyone that has ever attempted to shoot through a wire/or mesh wire fence in an enclosed environment knows what you were dealing with. I think you captured the bird beautifully and the blurred background adds to the image in my opinion, Sig..

with net and mesh the camera tends to focus on that instead of the subject so you did well again alan .love the colours on this bird .excellent shot :o) mick

Now this is small mesh, you can see at the top, so you did extremely well to get this, I remember reading that it was a lilac breasted something or other, I didn't take a shot of the details like I normally do. I love the way it tilted it's head to look at you Alan, made for the cute shot. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Alan - this is my most favourite bird in the whole world. It is a lilac breasted roller and they are found all over southern Africa. What a cutie!!! xx

this little gem looks as if it flew into a box of colored chalk and rolled around a bit before flying back out. How sweet and pastel this is. Very good shot!

not an easy task but you managed to get a decent capture of a beautiful bird.I try to use my 105 macro when shooting through fence since it has a small lens diameter.
