I took this at a high iso to get the details to show because an dark overcast morning.the 66 FJ, the passenger sits on top of the gas tank.Toyota quit selling the FJ in the USA because they did not want to fix them to pass safety laws. I would have rather had the old style
yesterdays post could be a moth.I tried to identify it, but have not

I had one of the 66 Cruisers same color as in your photo. Loved! Nice comparison shot.

Wonderful capture, dear Richard. I like the old one best! It is very like the jeep wranger that I drive. Have a good day. Sun is out here. It is lovely. I am off to work in my garden! Hugs. Diane.

Funny, I thought the new version would be your favorite, but now looking in detail at the two, the older version has a higher ground clearance and ride and looks a bit more butch and guy-like ! Interesting comparison & ~Cheers~

I am undecided, they are both good, depends really on what you want it for, if you want an off road working machine the 66, if you want comfort and a spacious vehicle the 07. They are classed as gas guzzlers over here in the UK and now have to pay a higher road tax, I think its about £160, a cc lower than 1000 is under £100. Also we are paying £1.09 to £1.20 per litre, that is more than $10.00 a gallon maybe up to $12.00 at some garages. Excellent capture of the two Richard, I wonder what yours will be like at 40 years old. Great comparison. Bravo!!!!!

Both are classics in their own special way, but the '66 model looks like it could be more fun to 'tool' around in. Great captures.

I've been eyeing the '07 FJC for a while now. I'm looking for something to replace my Pontiac Aztek. The old FJC looks too much like a Land Rover which I would prefer in a 60s vehicle. Great shot!
