Description

A principal character from the Twilight Blades, a D&D Forgotten Realms campaign set in Aglarond. “Nymara stared at the twilight sky with a distant and solemn look upon her beautiful face. “This is the time that this world reminds me of Sildueyuir,” she said softly, feeling the eyes of the other upon her. “Always draped in the soft glow of twilight… our glass citadels glittering in the star light.” She looked about at her companions, and her face brightened with a smile. “We are not far from where my family’s home stands. It would rise from the dell just there,” she motioned toward the darkening forest. “It’s spires towering well above the trees. We could easily see them from here. I can just imagine my father in the highest spire, looked down upon his cherished domain, my sisters dancing in the great hall, and the children playing…” Her expression turned solemn again as she thought of her missing niece and her eyes dropped to stare into the campfire before her. “You will see them again,” Talice said comforting, draping her arm around Nymara’s slender shoulders. “Not until I return Calastra to my brother’s arms,” Nymara said with resolve. They were all silent for a long moment, and then Cosar broke the solemn mood. “The star elves live in buildings of glass?” he inquired. “Yes,” Nymara responded, looking up to the handsome half-elf. “Do you have no… ‘privacy’?” he asked, openly eyeing her alluring form. Nymara smiled at him coyly. “Modesty is not a virtue star elves embrace strongly,” she replied capriciously, “I would have thought you had noticed that by now...”” One of the rarest of elves in Faerun, a Star Elf, Nymara's people fled the Yuirwood to the demi-plane of Sildeyuir over two thousand years ago. But now, with their twilight sanctuary under assault by the alien sorcerers, the nilshais, a few have chosen to return. A bard, warrior (fighter) and bladesinger, Nymara is a lithe beauty, deadly with either steel or spell. Still new to Faerun, she is often fascinated by sights others take for granite, and delights in every new experience. Embracing the Twilight Blades as a way to meld into the societies of Aglarond and the Yuirwood, Nymara sees her peoples withdraw into Sildeyuir as cowardly, and would advocate for them to abandon the demi-plane if she ever returned there. Filled with wonder at the advances human society has achieved, she is also repelled by the depths of evil it has loosed upon the world, and deeply concerned at how far the Yuir elves have fallen. The last of my revisited characters... I wanted to make Nymara a little curvier, and give her a rounder face. Thanks for looking... Hope you enjoy! Comments and suggestions always welcome! Absolutely gorgoeus Elf, she radiates a sort of serene beauty mixed with hidden power, thanks to the pose and expression. Nice subtle lighting too. The background story is a nice touch. Well done!
