Hi everyone... I am finally back online again with a new computer. While the new pc was on order, I had the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream... to visit the ancient and Arthurian sites of southern England! So to begin a new series, this is the legendary site of King Arthur's birth... Tintagel Castle on the coast of Cornwall. The day was beautiful, one of the few without rain, and I was wishing for Merlin's magic mist so as to avoid the climb up and down (twice!) some very taxing steps to the "island". The ruins shown were built around the 12th century, but archaeological excavations have found pottery dating back to the 5th or 6th century, when the legendary King Arthur was thought to have ruled Britain.
