Hi Everybody!
I had a wonderful time at Jill's, and now I'm home, safe and sound.
I'm tired and a bit bedraggled (much like my heron friend, here!) but boy, did I have a good time!! :)
(The heron is from a day at the beach at Edmonds, Washington, and has nothing to do with my vacation to Oregon, other than how he looks is pretty much how I feel!)
The West Coast had quite the little heat wave this weekend. We had planned on temperatures in the mid-70s when I booked my flight, but it was over 90F every day I was there. Yikes! Central Oregon is high desert (and it's a DRY heat!), but still - that's really hot.
I'll be posting pictures of the wonderful places we saw, but not tonight! It took forever just to load all my photos from my camera to the computer. I shot 991 images in three days!!!

Having lived in Phoenix for 13 years, I know all about dry heat~~~~pshaw, hot is hot!!! Just got home myself, aren't we the travelling fools?? Course my next trip is THERE and how cool is THAT?? BTW, love your heron, besides portraying that completely bedraggled look you mention, it's a very great shot!!

Bedraggled indeed............poor heron.........but I expect he has a full tummy to account for his wet plumage! Glad you had fun!

Wow, sounds even hotter than it was here (if that's possible! It was miserable!) Glad you had a good time, and only 991 shots? Did you sleep the whole time? Man, I can do nearly 300 in just an hour and a half! Great capture of the heron, I can't get close enough to any to get this kind of quality; mine all look like Sasquatch!

Well, the safely home part is good to hear, and I guess bedraggled is unavoidable. You didn't miss much on this side of the mountains; it was 95 here yesterday. I like the heron. He really says "bedraggled."

For pity's sake! this bird is the most pitiful thing I've seen in a very long time. LOL It was only 99 degrees here today...cooler than the 102 of yesterday. Awful no matter how you look at it. This really is a fabulous shot and glad to have you home safe.
