Description

I took this shot Saturday. I had some one tell me how I should take the shot and had a diff type of flash. If he wish me to have a diff flash wish he give me the $250 it would cost me. I got to use what I got and I pick the pov the way I wish too. Guess we all got kin folks like that. I not mad at him he do have a D70 and he wish to know about the D80 plus he told me about a friend of his takes super photos but he has a D200. Should have told him you can have the best camera in the world but if you do not compost and get pov's and other stuff like art in plus know how to handle the camera you got nothing. A real photo person can use a thow away camera and get better shots than a person with the best camera who do not know what he doing. I did not tell him nothing. Of couse he told me how he shots hummingbirds and stop they wings and all. I saw none of his photos just his camera and the battery was dead in his big flash gun he have. I not jealy but just wonder at times. He is real a good person. there I go chaseing rabbits lol anyway This is my dad with my son son. [why do I chase rabbits? I do that all the time trying to talk about someone i giveing a photo to.] Guess that me lol poor old me Oh in ase you heree for the first time my dad had his leg cut off and he home now

Well said Jock, at the end of the day, you are the one taking the picture, of course we welcome advice, but when it comes to advice by gunpoint, you are the final arbiter of what happens, wonderful shot of your father, hold him dear Jocko, I lost mine three years ago now, and still miss him terribly!

A very beautiful picture, Jocko. I agree with you about the differences between high- and low-end cameras: more so than not, it comes down to skill. :)

It's an excellent photo, Jock. You use what you have very well, and the most important part is getting in the feelings. That very moment, when that baby is looking up intently at his great grandpa, is the most important thing I see here! Sure, it's good to talk to a lot of people and learn from them about more techniques, but in the end, it's your heart as much as your skill, that makes your work what it is.

A great picture and a nice one to treasure... and who knows, that kid maybe sitting there in 92 years time holding another kid? It's a great POV and the flash did fine!

Wow, another decade and I'll be 92! Your dad looks pretty good considering what he went through with his amputation. Cool looking kid also, who appears to be well fed. Sure have a lot of stuff in the background.
