Description

Upload: 037 H Title: Finding solace with the Ancient One Series: Revisiting Grizzle Peak, 3 of 3 Location: Grizzly Peak, Berkeley, California Date: December 7, 2007 Image: N07757M1b2-FNL Camera: Nikon D70, Full Frame Commentary: When the second anniversary of my hear attack and subsequent open heart surgery loamed close, I felt I needed to return to a location I had visited just prior to those events and had taken a number of photographs that marked a pivotal creative moment. By returning to this location and retracing some of my steps, I am hoping to bring into perspective some of my thoughts to what had happened. Now another six or seven months have passed since then and since then I have attended college and produced a number of paintings, while setting a goal of attending the University of Berkeley in the spring of 2010 and if there are no derailments have my first exhibit in a gallery by the summer of that same year. So now you know why I have been away and not posted, I simple needed to focus upon another direction and follow a dream I had at the age of seven by giving it the life it has longed for since. Photography has not been abandoned, as it still plays an important roll in the creative process, but for now, when this series of three images is finished, I will share some of the dozen paintings that were accomplished since January of this year.

Wonderful Egmont. Whatever you decide to share with us always delights. I know how it is to find solace and strength in the company of ancient trees. Just watch out for the poison ivy this time. ;'] As was said, good luck in your creative endeavors.

the write up casts enough light to why such an object was chosen...hard to comment after viewing all the above. still, there's probably more optimism than in your latest dozens together. good turn! which side you view it, it's a wonderful image.

Spectacular capture of a most intriguing tree. Dark but not eerie… The black and white beautifully highlights the multiple dimensions of the image. The texture of the tree and leaves can almost be felt through the depiction. The POV adds both appeal and authenticity to your entire experience. Continue to amaze us with your spectacular art, no matter what medium.
