My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is a great photo, Tara, and even in black and white, it looks HOT! I share your sentiments re clambering around, flips-flops and straw hat!

Stunning capture Tara... And yes - I agree... no clambering around to get the perfect shot. Let's leave that to the pro's!!! :)

Wonderful shot! The right moment for one of the old steam locomotives, I love this!!! This was a good idea to do it in B/W.
unstrung65
....very nice shot Tara...but after seeing those old postcards ...I have to ask why you and Jill did not wait for a train to cross the bridge ??.......could you not have brought some boloney sandwiches to tide you over while you waited ?...hmmmmm ?

Stark light and dark in this splendid Ansel Adams type b&w photograph, Tara. Kinda reminds me of objects I used to build with my erector set when I was just a mere stripling. In honor of the Crooked River, I hope that isn't a crooked bridge. Of course, since it's apparently still in good shape after all these years, it must be of good solid construction. Although middle aged, next time go with cleated steel-tipped boots, hard hat, climber's pick, hundreds of feet of coiled rope, and your trusty camera.
MrsRatbag
Awww, what, no hanging out over the chasm on a rope, camera in hand? Chicken!!! Well, it's a great shot nonetheless... ;p
beachzz
LOL at Ms Ratbag~~but nope, let someone else do that kind of stuff!! No matter, it's a beautiful foto!!
