Description
Taken today on the fence in my garden, I was going out to the car when I noticed this little bunch, I did an about turn and got the camera. The first image is them all bunched together, it had just stopped raining and I think it was a group hug moment, the second one is after I touched the web, they all went wild. The third pic is a bad one but I had to include it, the reason being it was on the same fence post and you can just make out a baby on its back.
The nest of spiders, each spider is about 2/3mm in size and I am sure there is over a hundred in this bunch, there was also another one just like this on the next fence post along. The single spider a different colour was about 4mm, so I guess the one on its back to be about 1mm, that is the reason I included it. I went back out to try and get a better shot of this one but unfortunately it had gone. So I am stuck with this, I would not normally post one this bad.
Please ZOOM for better detail.
I am still playing catch up with signing but I am getting a bit closer.
Thanks for stopping for a look and for any comments you care to make.

Great capture and great story Jeff. As long as they stay on the fencepost it is OK. I wouldn't want them to come in my home. Are they poisoness? Sig...

Eek! Spiders... and for the first time I'm still in my seat! I must tell you, that these photographs and captures are incredible and captured with such softness and precision! The colours within your image truly do justice to the entire photograph, in spite of the creepy crawly subjects! hehe.... This makes for a very interesting capture, and I would have to disagree with you about the third picture, because to the contrary, I think it's wonderful, as are the rest. Congratulations for getting this close, and for taking and creating such a magnificent image for us!

WOOOOOOW! This is really marvellous captures indeed. I know how small they are. Amazing. Many years ago I woke up in this house and couldnt understand why all my face was tickling. I turned on the light and.. saw the wall full of these tiny creatures and my face too. I got up veeeery fast, eventhough I am not afraid of spiders, but this was a little bit too much for me. :)
