Thanks for all those comments on my 2 (and only)previous posts. I must say I'm quite chuffed cos it's not even my camera (it's my wifes, and not a very good one at that). I've got a really good one (Canon) but it's an proper one that uses film (I use colour slides) and i really need one of those gadgets for transfering slides onto P.C.
Anyway this one was taken from the rear coach at Ramsbottom where the trains cross (loop)and they drew up level.Our train engine was that U.S Army job.

If you check a bit further back in my gallery we went to Crich Tramway Museum, near Matlock, and they had a 1940's weekend there earlier in the year. Thats another good day out, not much dearer than the ELR visit either, if you type Crich Tramway into a search engine they have a good web page. Another good one from the ELR, good angle for the nameplate there, and pretty lucky it stopped where it did. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!! You can pick slide scanners up on Ebay, I have seen them advertised but never checked them out.
