Description

I'm not much of a bug person, so I'm not positive about the identification here, but based on the eyes, I think it may be a checkered setwing. I was killing time waiting for the sun to set and the full moon to rise earlier this week, when this fellow showed up and posed for a moment. Ooooh, am I jealous now. You have a virtual cornucopia of avian and insect life in to snap in your area, and, except for crows, pigeons, a ton of ants and a few arachnids, I have close to nothing in my neck of the woods. This is an amazing macro of the critter, replete with sharp clarity, considering it was in a hovering mode, and fine textures overall, Maria.
