Description

I'm not much of a bug person, so I'm not positive about the identification here, but based on the eyes, I think it may be a checkered setwing. I was killing time waiting for the sun to set and the full moon to rise earlier this week, when this fellow showed up and posed for a moment. My guide books show this species as close as one or two counties away from me but I have never seen one here. I agree with your ID though. Nice capture. Thanks for sharing. Lee

awesome macro and dragonfly.I am surprised you were able to get a capture with the constant winds we have had. now that the temeperature is around 100F not a breeze one
