Description
I shot these images of the hyena pups at play a couple of years ago in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. There is a well known hyena den underneath the road in a stormwater pipe quite close to one of the camps. On this particular day there must have been about 30 plus hyenas in total of which about 20 were pups of different ages. It was early morning and they were frisky and playing with each other as well as irritating the adults. We must have been watching them for more than an hour. Unfortunately the images were scanned from color photographs and some quality got lost with the scanning. They are however, just too precious to discard!!!

Who would think that something so cute and cuddly could grow to become a savage beast in a few short months. This is the first time I think that I have dissagreed with PJ, I think they are one of the worst animals on this earth and an adult is truly ugly. At this age though Carin, I can't blame you for taking so many shots of them, they, like most babies, animal and human are just to cute to miss out on. Superb collage and I agree too good to discard. Thanks for sharing. Bravo!!!!!
