Hi all,
Got to admit that this starting from scratch thing, without my spots, isn't all it's cracked up to be, and, too, that I can't say I'm altogether feelin' the love with my new pc. Just can't seem to settle in with it yet. But, such as it is.. :)
Hmm, this one kept a particular Hunter S. Thompson quote tickling my forebrain:
The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
Wishes for a beautiful week's start! Thanks for peeking. And, always, heartfelt thanks on your comments and favs which have come before.
Hugs!

I just came across this via a comment you made on a more recent post. So I looked at your gallery and I'm impressed, especially with this image. Which says a lot and is powerful. Much more than a fractal, 'per se'.

as I felt when I first glanced in your gallery, your images are very complex w/ many emotions & visual worlds interlacing and moving in & out of each other. The threaded wheel moving over your highly complex surface is immediate; but beyond that you have a much more complex & musical surface than meets the eye. The thread is everywhere in the 'ground', but woven across the page in an undulating way, mixed with lights and quiet intersecting energy-lines (those white lines beneath the surface). Those white lines are reflected in the background, and so are the greenish hues—only in the background, they're lightened and more luminous. And it's all woven-through with a canvas texture (maybe textile or some weave) which is subtle and quietly unifying. Beautiful work in a medium often used for visual effects; yours is multi-layered, inward and quite organic. Very fine & sensitive work.

An ocean wave crashes onto the beach of an alien world - who is to say that in other places, other spaces such does not occur? That is a great quote from the sadly lost Hunter. He was a far smarter man than many realize.

Hunter S. Thompson... A fellow Cancerian (We have the same birthday.) To be freed from the monotonous tunnel vision of the day to day, perhaps takes steps few elect to travel. To be able to grasp the big picture means letting go of preconceptions and ideologies and the various "isms" we choose to constrain our lives by. These blinders society says we should wear are little more than rose colored spectacles masking intentions with rhetoric for base desire. They facilitate mental barriers that can be scaled, but on the other side are truths that are either enlightenment or insanity. It's a bold choice to wander there. A great read: The Quantum Mind - By Arnold Mindell Wonderful work Nancy. It's great to see & read compelling art that is challenging, and thought provoking.
