Description

This is Muir Beach, north of San Francisco. I believe that's Redwood Creek you see emptying into the ocean. I took this as I flew back into SF from Seattle a couple of weeks ago, we were making a big turn west, went all the way south to San Jose, then a straight shot into the airport.

Oh Marilyn, a fantastic ariel view from the plane window, amazing blue ocean and contrasting colour to the land. look at the detail of the creek snaking round. Excellent!

A beautiful view for sure...I'm so glad you told us you took it from a plane, I was thinking, Oh my goodness, she didn't stand up there looking down and take that shot....LOL, I would have said the lady has gutts....a beautiful capture!

Are you sure you were actually inside the plane? Not on the shuttle by any chance? Lol. Cracking shot Marilyn much better than the sattelite on Google. I will have to try and find this location on Multi Maps(similar to Google Earth). See if they are any better but I doubt it. You got some great images on you flight I must say. Did you have to pay extra for a wing tip seat? Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

An absolutely stunning view of gorgeous Muir Beach -- evidently named after the naturalist, explorer and writer, John Muir -- in this brilliant capture, Marilyn! As for beautiful Marin County, I have a cousin who lives in San Rafael.

love air shots. put you in a diff world but you know it the same world you live in too. this is wonderful. I reading a book on travels photos and they show air shots like thing and say it good to do them too. wonderful looking
