Description

Hello again to you all! This pic here was taken in Berlin at a local lake, the Wannsee. In summertimes this is a highly frequented place by visitors who take a boattrip on ships like this in the background here or sit in the local cafes and beergardens. A small ferry crosses the lake and the Havel, our local river here.... This pic was taken at 1st of March 2008, when the orcane "EMMA" blew... EMMA blew with an amplitude of 10 with short and sharp peeks till 12, so I had to fight against storm, raindrops on the lens, cold fingers and ears. Sometimes I had to go into a phonebox.... They had warned us to go out, and when I wanted to go home a tree had blocked the railroad. But I alived and it was fun, too! I had a tubus on my camera with a filter, and I selected here one with a raindrop... Have a nice sunday, I´m back in the evening! billcody

A perfect title for this image! (I don't own the album, though.) I love the color of the water. Wonderful capture!

Excellent capture Wolfgang, it reminds me of the weather we had at the wildlife park. #;0) I found quite a few of my pictures from that day had raindrops on them when I got home. I would not want to take a row boat out on this lake though, not in this weather. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Excellent way the colors are highlighted: is it selective coloring? Either way very dramatic.

Didn't know Berlin had a hurricane!!!! That's incredible. Clearly the water is pretty disturbed and that was pretty courageous to venture out!!! But you got a real action shot, like the newscasters do!!! Bravo!!

Great shot of this wild scene. I love rough seas but only to look at. Today it is very windy, rainy and the seas are very high and rough.
