Description

Captured back on 11/21/05, very early in the morning, I know not where, but within walking distance of my anachronistic abode. The object could be on the grounds of a school; difficult to remember. I found the scene to be rather unique, just something else to toss into the pot of unusual things. Anyway, this is a real tire/tyre, made of rubber, and not a cardboard cutout replica. I ran my hand across it, pinched and pulled at it, even kicked at the base to make sure it wasn't just sitting on top of the lawn. And it definitely wasn't an advertisement for a yard sale or any entertainment event. Have a super Sunday, and any and all kind and uncritical comments are always welcome.

Super find! I often see men kicking tyres, but they are usually still attached to a vehicle, I expect the habit can be hard to kick... sorry... break.

Tires are tough and will probably outlast steel bridges.

Undoubtedly at a playground of some sort. For whatever reason, these large truck tires have been deemed entertainment for the shorter and younger among us. Go figure! An excellent capture, mi amigo querido!

Fun pic, Harry! Can't imagine why anyone would want to bury half a tire though......lol

Excelent capture to shows tyre is useful not just on the road. pretty attractive art on the lawn. Some ppl even make fence out of used tyres just to be individual.

Unusual, indeed, and I thought it might have been just on top of the ground, too, and probably would have kicked it as well, lol.

Wonder if the rest of the tractor is below ground...strange and intriguing find! Or maybe that's where they grow them?
