There's a starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds excerpt from STARMAN by David Bowie What if David Bowie never fell to Earth and became the musical and artistic icon we know today,but instead chose to remain on his home planet at the edge of our solar system and live out his days using his chameleonic abilities to blend into his surroundings? That was the premise behind this image,a personal project of mine,and a first attempt to create a real likeness.I spent almost four hours in Daz Studio working with various morphs to turn Michael 2 into the likeness of Bowie,then imported him into Bryce.There I textured his skin and eyes with textures from 3D Total Textures,making sure to remember to keep his trademark mismatched irises.His hair includes a phototexture of animal fur from cgtextures.com.The trunks of the bizarre palm-like tree forms are a palm trunk photo,also from cgtextures.com.All other textures are Bryce6.1 presets.The distant planet is a freebee from renderosity's own egehlin,and the sky is a custom one I created. Wow!!! I love the treatment of his skin. Nice likeness for Bowie, too. I wasn't looking for that until I read your bit, but now I can see it easily. Great work!

The thin white duke! I'm a huge David Bowie fan, yes and the figure on your picture looks like the very young David Bowie with Snakeskin. I love it. I'm loving the Alien! ; )
