Description

The past and the future meet as a recon ship cruises among the long-eroded ruins of an ancient, cliff dwelling civilization...the spires of desert rock riddled with the entrances and windows carved by the weather and the additional remodelling that tribespeople did to create rustic dwellings within, complete with stairs and platforms connecting each level. Now all that remains are the ghostly remnants, the inhabitants extinct or having moved on.The futuristic craft slowly manouvers around and between the spires, engines whining and sunlight reflecting off the metallic exterior in sharp contrast to the rough cliffs, the crew taking in the splendour of the site before moving on. All items created in Bryce6.1,the spires are lattice terrains hand-painted in the terrain editor, the ship is a combination of positive, negative and neutral prims. All textures are from www.cgtextures.com combined with Bryce presets. The sky is a custom creation and the image was rendered in Premium setting with soft shadows selected. Thanks for all your comments and views on my last posting. That image is now going to appear on the SciFI Weekly website at the beginning of August!

Yes, just enough left of this once proud civilisation to make it interesting and explorable. Great atmosphere too.
