Description

This dedication is for my dear friend Diane or best known as (Rainbows). Diane is one of the most gentle and kind ladies you will ever meet as well as being a very gifted photographer. If your ever feeling a bit down please visit her gallery and I promise the beauty contained in her photos will lift your spirits. Take the time to get to know Diane and you'll discover she truly defines what a lady should be. Diane's favorite childhood memory takes place in Dunham Massey, a civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough Of Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. Please see this link to give you a idea of this amazing setting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunham_Massey Heaven On Earth (For Rainbows): For a girl born in the city a weekend visit to her Aunt and Uncle at Dunham Massey was like a bit of heaven on earth for Diane. Her Uncle was the gamekeeper at Dunham Massey and his duties were to open the gates for his Lordships car and look after his herd of deer. When Diane would visit her Uncle and his daughter Deborah would take her to the private side of the estate where the deer were kept. There Diane would get to see the new born fawns up close and interact with these adorable animals as they felt safe in their environment. I tried to capture this memory Diane treasured as best I could and hope it can bring a smile to her face. Diane will be thrilled with this one it is gorgeous. You have got such wonderful expressions of awe on the little girls faces and the deer look so real and naturally posed. I love the patterns on the little girls dresses too. This has to be a favourite.

Those two little girls look so thrilled. I'll bet they never imagined they'd ever see a live deer so close until that day. The little girl with the black hair looks so dynamic I some times mistake her as actually jumping for joy. Mother and father deer watching attentively of coarse as they graze. Deer can be very friendly with people if they have not learned to fear us. One time on my summer job in Pinawa Manitoba, one adolescent followed me across town back to my residence. Another time a family of them raced not 1 metre passed me in the middle of the night. They are swift and nearly as silent as a breeze. Terrific story and llovely dedication.

This amazing image is just another reason i love seeing your work Dave, it is truly magical and such a wonderful dedication to Dianes childhood memory. The looks on the faces of the girls is priceless and i bet that is exactly how they looked on those special visits. I love the way you've captured mumma deer standing back but keeping a watchful eye on her babies, thats another thing i love about your work, there's always something new to see and one can't have a quick look at your images, i sit here for a while going over the whole thing and finding new treats everytime.
