This dedication is for my dear friend Diane or best known as (Rainbows). Diane is one of the most gentle and kind ladies you will ever meet as well as being a very gifted photographer. Diane's favorite childhood memory takes place in Dunham Massey, a civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough Of Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. Heaven On Earth (For Rainbows): For a girl born in the city a weekend visit to her Aunt and Uncle at Dunham Massey was like a bit of heaven on earth for Diane. Her Uncle was the gamekeeper at Dunham Massey and his duties were to open the gates for his Lordships car and look after his herd of deer. When Diane would visit her Uncle and his daughter Deborah would take her to the private side of the estate where the deer were kept. There Diane would get to see the new born fawns up close and interact with these adorable animals as they felt safe in their environment. I tried to capture this memory Diane treasured as best I could and hope it can bring a smile to her face. Hugs from Dave

The only thing not in this is her classic rainbow...but then I think a journey into memories is a sort of rainbow bringing all the beauty in color and image. Beautiful work, I love the little fawns, would love to rescue one! Everything you said about Diane is so true and I have loved every photo she shares. Photos to me are the story, you gain great insight into people thru their work and you really begin to know that person in a way that sometimes we miss in the day to day life. Excellent image! Beautiful poses and expressions in both the humans and the deer. I love the look of amazed joy in the faces of the girls and the protective pose of the father/uncle. I think perhaps he is also gently keeping his daughter near him, so that his niece, who less often gets such treats, can have her own special connection with the deer. I love how all the fawns show curiosity, while an adult in the background is watchful but not concerned. Lovely composition and beautiful light and shadows. Terrific light and shadows on their skin! Very nicely done and great dedication!
