Description
Adira nervously approached the TRex,stepping carefully over mossy roots as she kept her eyes on the motionless beast,the soft ground yielding to every step as she inched closer.There was no sign of life,the massive beast lying where it had tumbled.
Minutes before she had been ambushed as she'd travelled through the thick jungle,the TRex hidden amongst the trees...waiting for some unsuspecting prey.He had known she was there long before she saw him,his sense of smell picking up her scent.Hunger had made him impatient,and his attack had come as Adira had been travelling through an area of logfalls and boulders.Although he was swift,the beast was not able to reach her because of the unsure footing,massive roots and fallen trees impeding him and allowing her to keep just out of reach.
Adira had reached the clearing first,well aware that she was now an easy target.As the hunter burst from the brush she'd planted herself firmly in a firing stance and squeezed off four rapid bursts from her sidearm,the first round hitting the chest,the second and third the legs,and the fourth the head.The beast dropped and tumbled headfirst past her,end over end in a mass of legs and tail until it lay motionless at the edge of a swamp.
Having confirmed the beast was dead,Adira turned and made her way back up the slope and into the clearing.The light was fading fast,and she knew the ship was still miles away.She would have to find shelter for the night,and as the sounds of creature activity filled the air,she decided a spot off the ground would be best and began scaling a nearby tree.Hopefully she would reach the crashsite tomorrow without incident.

Those branches are really cool. Good composition as usual, and good texture work. The only thing I don't like to see, but that's only a personal preference, is a bald V3...

fantastic work here.....great eye for details.....I love the bg in this your, you did an outstanding landscaping and the sense of scale is stunning.....in the foreground the pose of t-rex is priceless......the gorgeous Adira stand out by perfect light setting...I love it!!
