Description

Nestled in a spoons embrace Listening to the rhythms of your slumber As it rests upon our pillow I reach behind me tucking you into me In blissful sigh I lay Under a blanket of journeying dreams Framed by honor, devotion and admiration Love's reflection looks back at me I am happy and content Madly, Truly, Deeply in love I whisper my prayers of thanksgivings Towards the ebony skies twinkling it seems for me Turning to the wonder of this love I lovingly kiss his cheek Holding me close, softly whispering Tender honeyed affections; he calls another name As salty dreams slid down my pillow No longer anchored my soul drifts into stormy seas I watched as the frame of honesty and commitment crumbled Letting love's reflection come crashing to the floor As dawn illuminated reality I gently kissed his sleeping face Picking up the pieces of my heart Tip toed to the door, leaving without a trace

Cool image Michelle. Got me wondering what the brown stuff is? The poem is truly outstanding. Not sure I agree with the message however. Why must we equate love with chains and not wings? Why do we embrace jealousy and insecurity rather than trust and sharing? Imho, I think most people are insane on so many levels. I speak from experience when I say that sharing can work and strenghthen a relationship. I happens when you care more about others than about yourself. There is a reason why divorce rates are so high. People are just so selfish. Oh well.. we might grow up some day (I hope). Still, excellent poem and all. Hope all's well in your world. Hugs from Dave :^)

Such a sad poem but beautifully written....excellent image as well....Life isn't always what we want it to be but in order to love and be loved we must take the chance that we might be hurt...without that chance, we have no chance for love. I've missed talking with you in yahoo...and I'm sorry, I just can't sit as long in front of my computer as I once did....but hopefully, I'll feel better soon..........wonderful image, beautiful poem from a very sweet lady.
