Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This is an experience I would like to have in person, I guess you really have to be there to see their majesty, to feel the atmosphere, to get that adrenalin rush. This is the nearest I'll get to them though, so thanks for sharing. Superb capture. Bravo!!!!!

I think its impossible to walk through the redwoods and look at the tops at the same time. Either I'd fall on my face tripping over roots and stuff, or I'd walk into the trunk of one by accident, and if I did manage to walk with my head tilted back at a 90 degree angle to my body, I'd wake up the next day with severe neck pain. Best to just sit somewhere and gaze...at least for me. LOL This is a wonderful mood shot.
