Description
I drive up to see these people out the car and so close to the gators too. When the lady knee down to get a good pov shot of the gator I thought for sure that gator was going out of the water but she did not at the time. She have patience for sure. I was ready hopeing to get the face reactions as the gator going out the water at them. lol she waited and waited and I waited too then it happen .
She came out the water at them slowly. They faces was of terror and all the people ran. Here am thinking I was ready to get the shots of a life time as they faces shows the terror but I was all thumbs. I did not get no shots lol. Just one shot of one person out the cat as the gator comes into the photo. [middle left photo] you can just see the nose of the gator. Mom gator stop and looked around and then turn and came at my truck[right middle photo] The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I rolled up the window just in case gators can jump. I not sure and I did not want to find out the hard way. She looked at me a long time as you can see. She was about four feet from my truck. The other cars took off and just me and the gator lol. I thought she was telling me I the one that keep bring these people around to look at her. She then turn around and went back into the water.
I getting a rush just writeing this for it all real too. not made up. I beleive true is better that made up stuff. [well in sci-fi that a good thing to make things up]
If the gator did get some one I would not know what to do as there is two other gators in the water close by. You saw one of them yesterday checking out the crackers. I would have feel bad and helpless too. I not Tarzon the apeman as he can fight them with a kinfe. I have a gun but no bullets lol[going to buy some tomorrow]
sorry I got no shots of terror on they faces. maybe next time but I went out there yesterday and saw the rangers had spay the sides of the lake with weed killer. I did not see the gators. hope the eggs is hatch and all the babys is away from the area now.

If I was out there Jocko I would want a cage around me, a shark cage like they have when diving in shark infested waters, plus a pump action shotgun. Lol. Excellent collage, it's hard to believe there are alegedly responsible adults there, exposing there children to danger like that. One of these days somebody's luck is gonna run out, actually I hope you manage to get pictures of it for the gators defence. If you produce photo's like this showing just how stupid the people are, the gator should get off with a self defence plea. Superb captures and a very good narrative, don't forget those bullets. Bravo!!!!!

Wow! Great series of shots! that is the height of stupidity! Glad they all got away, even with the 'shot of a lifetime', it would not have been cool if the gator actually bit the lady. Fascinating series, Jock.
