Description

Another flower from my greenhouse. The throat with the nectar "prize" is too small for bees to enter so they bite a hole in the back of the bloom to gain the prize without doing the pollen transporting. I have shown the full bloom a variety called (Charlotte) and a close up to see what is in the narrow throat. This is at f22 but this close the DOF is tiny and only a small area can be sharp.

Love it. Streptocarpus among my favourites. A South African plant? So easiliy propagated too with just a leaf cutting. I enjoy my visits to your greenhouse.
