I feel like rain,
trapped in a box,
Or, at least,
the memory of it
Loss,
in arpeggio
One blinding shock of light,
soul-shattering clap
And then it comes,
the endless roll
of your absence's thunder
Quaking, I'm the contents
within, now without
Staring, blinded,
yet with vision clear
and unobscured
Having kissed
the human possibilities
When all is born
of love, and care
I know this vacant place,
too well
Why are the confines now so new,
some very foreign space,
suddenly as unnavigable
as my own skin
Tighter, constricting,
too aware of my fragility
My wings beat, frantic,
frantic, for escape
To leave reality far behind,
just long enough,
I plead,
just long enough,
for the freedom
of a single
filling breath
It doesn't come
It doesn't come
There is only silence now,
The sweet and angst of memory,
some faraway metronome of
my own heart,
and...

for the longing in your poem, you give an image of almost microscopic beauty, and organic & intimate too. As if, looking into this molecule in your heart, you see the immensity of life's patterns spread before you. It really does feel cellular, a macro of the soul; and there are energy-lines too (something I'm beginning to notice in your work), or lines of tension in an energy field. And the whole burgeons out into an infinite cellular field well beyond the frame, as if we're looking at one part of a highly organic whole. I hope your health is ok (I read your description a few images back) and that you're of good spirits. Know that your images are gifts. An intricate & intimate work, and multi-leveled.
