Description
The middle of August isn't the best time to take pictures of flowers around here! Everything is green and beautiful, but there isn't a lot in bloom. This hosta was the only plant in the entire Japanese Garden that had even a single flower. (Of course you know if there's even ONE, I'll find it and take a picture!)

Fine clarity depicted and lovely soft mauve colors radiate in this excellent macro of the hosta with the mosta! Interesting hooked stamen, also. Actually, I never heard of this species of flower before, which isn't that unusual for me.
