Description

For Miner027 who was literally the first person to notice me at Renderosity and who has given me positive encouragement every step of the way. Thank you my most loyal friend. Get Out! After a heated family feud, Ninshubar is thrown out of the royal throne room by her Aunt, Queen Ninhursag the Earth Mother while her Uncle, King Anu, the Sky God glares on with rage. The senior Royal Family of the Gods of Ur were totally outraged that Ninshubar Goddess of Air would have the audacity to demand that they intervene in the war between their daughters. “Get out Ninshubar, you insolent little bitch! How dare you demand that we violate the ancient code that bars travel between the worlds of the living and the dead? Ishtar, of her own accord, entered the Land of No Return. It is not our responsibility to save her. Yes, we can all see here that she is suffering, but that is not of our concern. Yes, the seasons have stopped and mankind is starving, but that is Ishtar's fault, not Ereshkigal's. Ereshkigal is only doing what we expect of her, upholding the ancient laws of Ur. Ishtar will receive no help from us. Now I say again - get out!” “All right already! But I swear this affair is not yet over! The Lady of Life will be brought back to the land of the living!” Furious at her Aunt's refusal to free Ishtar and save mankind, Ninshubar is almost spitting blood as she storms out of the throne room. Will she let this setback stop her from attempting to rescue her cousin? Ninshubar was honored for being cunning, resilient and relentless. Her fight has just begun. Wow! Lots going on in this image. Super details. What is that in the crystal ball? It occurs to me that these gods are not thinking this through because without any subjects what they gonna do? LOL Anyway wonderful image and can't wait to hear what happens :) Don

Don: It's a muddled up picture of my "gloating goddess" showing Ishtar in her cage. But it didn't work out too well despite big effort in material room. Underlying crystal ball of the original prop kept reflecting through and I couldn't kill it.

The attention to detail is superb. The poses and expressions are marvelous, and I love the effect of the floating ball. I studied Sumerian myth some years back, which required also that I learn about Babylonian, so I love the story and characters! The costuming is great, and the point of view here is well-taken.

I'm sorry my comment is going to be short today but I'm literally on my way out of town and I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how much I liked the new instalment in your series. Can't wait to see what happens next. Keep it up!

Sorry to be late commenting- I can see that your work is coming on leaps and bounds here and your attention to detail, posing and character position work is excellent. The movement of Ninshubar's skirt is well handled as are the reflections. Group scenes are very problematical to do and you have handled these three characters very well, and the story is told as much through the picture as by the narrative, which is as it should be. The postwork is excellent and all aspects of the image marry- strangely enough I have a folating 'orb' on the go in a post I may shortly upload so may have to rethink that!

Another absolute GEM - I'm really enjoying these Ninshubar installments! This has to be the most complex and intricate scene to date - and you really pulled it off well. You KNOW I'm nit-picky about lighting - well hon you got this spot on! The pieces all come together in a top-notch scene - GREAT JOB Roxy!
