Description
Fred 255 posted a shot of this same spot today, please look at his gallery. It amazes me how different artists look at things so differently. The 199 steps lead down to the harbour at whitby, From the abbey atop. My David has gone back to work in London today.... I miss him. Thank you for looking and for treasured comments. Hugs. Diane.

your image has a wonderful glow Diane, I have walked these steps two or three times but the last couple of visits to Whitby we have stood over by the Whale bones on the other side after a hearty fish and chip lunch. Sylvia struggles to climb steps these days. :O)

I have walked these steps more times than I care to remember lol.. the times that were the most painful were when I was about 5 years old :) I used to have even more difficulty with the ones at Runswick Bay where my Great Aunt used to live!!! Every time we visited, my father used to try and tire my brother and I out by hiking us up and down the steps and counting every single one!!!! Thank you for the memory :) Beautiful photo and superb capture of the seagull who appears to manage the steps with ease :)

I love the railings, steps, shadows of railings and of course the gull. How nice of them to put a bench halfway down. I might cheerfully bypass it on the way down, but would gratefully sink into it when coming back up. Great POV, color and detail! Excellent image!

Spesso si va via con amici per fare foto e non si fanno mai foto uguali !Non ho visto l'altro autore , ma questa mi sembra un ottimo punto di vista ! Normal that several people made the same place to see it differently seocondo their point of view! Often goes away with friends to take pictures and photos are never the same!
