Description

Looking back at my Peru pictures i'm suprised i havent posted this one yet. Anyway - taking a lot of inspiration from goido and his recent foray into making a photo look like an oil on canvas painting - this being one of them: thumb_1736087.jpg While i didnt get the same look entirely, it was never really the aim of trying this - i'm sure i used different techniques although a lot of the same ones (and i know i used a different program) to get the look and thus it isnt really a clone process. Very interesting yet time consuming to do this. Basically play around with textures, overlays and brush strokes in photoshop and you will come up with something similar if you are patient and willing to try things. Enjoy! Rich

Rich, this is an exciting foray you are off on. This portrait has been taken to a new high. I can see the original had a strong character in it but you have inserted even more with your technique. I am thoroughly enjoying Goido and your work in this painted portrait endeavor. I would value greatly this type of work and it is really much more interesting than a straight-shot portrait. At least, that's my humble opinion.

Wow! Impressing. I don't like digital fingerprints on a natural object, but this is fascinating.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!I love this! The picture was great to begin with,I love what you did with the background!I am sure it would look fantastic printed on heavy fiber paper. Have you printed this artwork? Her expression and the way she cover herself from the sun... I am almost transported to Peru. I would love to see more of these series!!

Fabulous! You have probably erased all the insignificant/disturbing detals.

Some images have a timeless quality to them, "worthy of" a painting and you have transported one there. The beauty of humanity staring off into middle distance. Excellent.
