Description

** Full size is best ** Another shot from my recent vacation. This was taken approximately 20 miles south and 20 miles east of where Tara took her Crooked River picture. What I wanted to show was the difference in the way the mountains look in May and August. I took this on August 23 of this year, she took hers in May. From left to right you can see Broken Top, South Sister, then Middle and North Sisters. I shot this just outside the little town of Sisters, Oregon; these folks have this view every day. This was an 11-shot panorama; PhotoShop spent about a half hour churning away stitching it together. All I had to do was tweak the levels a bit and resize, then crop the thumbnail to meet Renderosity's requirements. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

Marvelous shot of the sisters. Seems like they never run out of snow since May. Excellent. Aloha

I am still thinking about taking my first panorama. Love looking at those you've posted. Were your eleven shots portrait or landscape? Bill

This was definitely worth your effort to take the shots and get them stitched into a pano. What a beautiful scene this is. While you were in Sisters I hope you stopped at the Sno-Cap and had ice cream. If not, you missed some good ice cream.

Great shot! I climbed South Sister once in my younger days, and spent the night--during a fierce thunderstorm!--camped on top. It was all worth it to get up early the next morning and look at the 360 degree view all around. It took a LOT less time to get down than it took to get up. This is a wonderful panorama!
