Description
Ala(artaddict2) and I paid a visit to the National Railway Museum in York last Tuesday, we met up with MickUK50 and had a very enjoyable day. One of the first exhibits we came across was this fire engine. Anybody that knows me also knows I love fire engines, so I couldn't resist this beauty when I saw it, there were another two close by, one of which I will post tomorrow.
Great Western Railway Motor Fire Tender.
The men of the Great Western Railway Fire Brigade at Swindon were the first fire fighters in Wiltshire to have petrol driven fire engines. The 1912 Dennis motor fire tender had a 60 horsepower engine, leaving traditional horse-drawn fire tenders standing.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make.
Please zoom, this is a large file. The lighting was very poor in the museum and I was using ISO 1600, I have re-processed the image in Ellements five.

My shots of this came out trash! yet these are all terrific, absolute gems. Don't know how I missed your upload of this Jeff, I must say what ever you have done to enhance them has worked extremely well, another for my faves!
