Description

This image started as a test render with Pauline and the "Hidden Winds" Shawl and new materials by Fabiana. I immediatly fell for this transparent, black material with the slight glitter on it and decided to do a large render with my test. The result reminded me a lot on vintage pinups and on old photos in the showcases of stripbars that you can see in old crime movies like those by Juergen Roland (I'm not sure if people outside Germany know them - but in the 60s they where kind of scandalous). Then I remembered how I saw one of these movies (I think it was "Polizeirevier Davidswache"). He was very interested in how Germany looks when his Mom was a little girl. And then came a scene with a striptease club, a half-nude dancer dropped her skirt and suddenly he said: "Mom, did all women look this way when you where a child?". I looked closely and saw an average woman with average breasts (not pumped up and round like apples) and with a tummy instead of a sixpack. This was the start of a longer discussion and in fact it was the start of the shape I use to give my girls. Of course they are idealised, at least they are models, artificial or not. But yes, I am fed up with breast that do not even move when the girl is jumping and arms, either thin as twigs or equipped with muscles like you would espect them on a boy. And I am alarmed that the young ones think that gravity is nothing that effects a human body! This is dedicated to Fabiana, as a thank you for making this wonderfull and versatile set of clothes - there are more old-fashioned girls to come as (at least to me) these dynamic clothes are so retro!! Technical: Hidden Winds shawl with Sedale Silk materials, both by Fabiana (FK-Design) and available at 3dcommune. Some postwork to add highlights to the hair and to create the background. The circles for the back are from the "Retro" brush set by dp - very cool!!

Nice.... I wanna see one of those movies.... that shawl certainly is something special and Pauline wears it well. In so far as a tummy like a six-pack of beer... I have this saying when rubbing my tummy... 'Why settle for a six-pack when you can have a whole keg' LOL

thank you Meike, love the image and absolutely agree with your oppinion... In my case, I am more tending to thin girls, not exuberant, because I used to be one of them in my teens... is a way to remember :) But actually I was thinking about to do a complete natural and normal girl... is an excellent point of view. Pauline looks very alike to one of my daugther's friends, Marianella. I will show her this pic :) And thanks for using the shawl... really look perfect for that image... and you render as a goddess :)

Although I was only crawling around in 1966, I appreciate the look of women who are natural beauties with some curves to their figure, in any age. This is excellent work, a true beauty, and your pose, lighting, and arrangement in this pic is fantastic!

I know you've got this theme going of all these pinups and putting dates by them... I love it... The pose and quality, render, lighting and all that stuff is superb... I hope you're fileing your characters for a later date... What? ... yeah, I'm gonna give you an idea, I do that because I have too many to go after myself, so I drop ideas from time to time... When you are satisfied with going back in time and you get to that last pin up, then I'd like for you to think about something that you can have fun with - your characters. Take this one for example... say she's 30 years old - prime...that was 42 years ago... this lady would be 72... This one, since she's 72 I'd have her standing next to her husband with this picture in her hands as she looks at pictures of her grand kids on the wall... one idea... another, she's down at the police station bailing her grandchild out of jail and the chief is her age with the magazine with her in it and he's ask'n for an autograph... I'm headed in too many directions to go after this idea, but I think you could have a blast revisiting you models and aging them... you know the ones that are hitting 50 you could show them trying the same pose with a photographer working with them... Sinatra's daughter was in Playboy at 50, so was Farrah... I hope this excites you to want to do it, cause I know I'd have a blast seeing it - but somehow try to work the pinups into the older pictures... I had fun dream'n and I hope the spark I just sent you turns into a flame... this upload is superb... YOU HAVE BEEN FAVORITIZED!!!
