Description

This isn't one of those surf shots with waves a zillion feet high, and it doesn't show gorgeous women in sexy bikinis, or hot guys with buff bodies. It just show that surfers LOVE surfing, no matter what. This is where I go almost every day when I'm here. I ride my bike down to the beach, sit here for a while just to take it all in. Bliss.

Great to see these folk, this is the bodyboarding even I can manage, nice and safe but still enormous fun! Hell's water grannies strike again!

When the tide is lower than the kelp it begins. And when the tide covers the kelp it is ending.

The gurgling waves of the Pacific Ocean makes for fine colors and textures, Marilyn! BTW, flotsam is essentially the wreckage of a ship or its cargo floating at sea. Jetsam is that part of the cargo or equipment thrown overboard to lighten a ship in danger.

My brother-in-law used to carry his board to the water (2 blocks away) every morning at 6 a.m., ride for an hour and then come home and get ready for school. This shot has a lot of those memories in it for me. Wonderful mood.

I grew up in So Cal, so that before and after school thing is how all the guys I went to school with did it; after school the girlfriends got to go along too (we were all too busy doing our hair and makeup in the mornings!) Great shot and memory-flicker!

I agree with Tara, she can say so much with just a couple of words, I really go for the Sparkly! one. It's like millions of diamonds catching the sun. Superb capture, sunny here at the momment but no sea and sand. Bravo!!!!!
