Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I love this! So what if it's a sewer plant ... I can't smell it from here. The white tank with the blue sky and palm trees is so dramatic. Nicely seen, and a great shot!

I'm supposed to be sleeping but since I saw this, I'll comment. I love this image. Everything in it is so crisp and wonderfully mixed and matched...the colors are superb as are the shapes and various organic/inorganic textures. In short, this image rocks! It's beautifully seen and the composition works marvelously.

Nice shot. We have the Blue Plains plant here in the DC area which is an open sewer pit. The stench is horrific even with the windows rolled up.

Our tanks are as tall but I have noticed they are all very nicely presented as if that makes it all better... LOL Fine shot.

Looks like one of our gas tanks, after all there are a few different kinds of gas. lol. I have climbed to the top of a few of these when a teenager, got caught once, but let off with a warning. Excellent capture Marilyn, a rather exotic setting with the palm trees there. Bravo!!!!!

Full-size, this thing's commanding! I agree the match-up of the stark white tower with the palms & the stairway is powerful: It's beautiful & stark. And if this is a sewer tank, it's the best looking sewer-anything I've ever seen. Think you can import one of these to chicago?

Vivid colors and stark light/dark contrast depicted in this remarkable capture, Marilyn! A stairway to the stars, as is often said. Ummmm, I miss your comments in my gallery.
