Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Wow! What an exciting bit of writing! I don't even like baseball, and you still got me going. Since I already voted, all I can do is sit on the edge of my seat and wait to see what happens.

Like wise with me Marilyn same as Tara that is, best of luck with it, the last time I looked you were out in front with 27% of the vote, nailbiting stuff is this. Both the baseball(which I don't like) and the GOM voting. Guess I will have to tune in tomorrow see how the batter did, if he got a home run. Tara and I seem to have quite a bit in common, don't you think? Excellent work, but you're a tease making us wait, you would make a good commentator, isn't there a radio station wanting one? #;0) Bravo!!!!!

Best of luck to both of you! I like your "cliff-hanger" poem. You're both terrific artists, I wish you both well! And re. baseball: I'm from Chicago, and assuming the Cubs don't lose again, they just may go all the way, so you may have to revise your poem for us...

Nelly Kelly loved baseball games, Knew the players, knew all their names, You could see her there ev'ry day, Shout "Hurray" when they'd play. Her boy friend by the name of Joe Said, "To Coney Isle, dear, let's go," Then Nelly started to fret and pout, And to him I heard her shout: "Take me out to the ball game, Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks, I don't care if I never get back, Let me root, root, root for the home team, If they don't win it's a shame. For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out, At the old ball game." Good luck in your race for AOM, Marilyn!

Trying to catch up, here on commenting as I was not receiving any ebots after noon on Wednesday. Seems as tho RR was sending out their newsletter and it backed everything else up behind it. Still haven't received all of the comment ebots. Great writing and I'm glad you were in the running for AOM.
