Hello ! Just one more from the blackcurrant field. Still taken from long distance, so forgive me for the quality. But look at these lovely deers. I love them, mostly when they keep away from my rose buds :) Thank you so much for your kind comments to yesterdays post and special thanks to those who added it to their favorites. I am most grateful :) Have a wonderful weekend. We are expecting much wind, so we went for picking apples from our Cox orange apple tree. A lovely old fascioned winter apple.

This is a very cute image… Most RR artists would have done that using Poser animals, and I have to admit that this kind of snapshot is very difficult to achieve. I must admit, however, that I am not very glad of the postwork that you have done when fading the photo into some sort of hammered copper plate. I would by far have preferred the default photograph… but maybe you can post it now, and have the advice of our friends?

maybe it's the currants, but the picture is awash in a grainy 'berry' like feeling, little spots of light and dark that give this a softness; and you've captured the deer with a touch of graininess too which to me is all harmony...I see you've framed it with a grainy border harmonizing with the hues of the picture...it's a picture held with loving hands, a bit like a dream and with the sense that you woke, saw this picture and, still in that restful state, you gave us a picture...A gentle fall portrait, autumnal but quiet; and oh what a view you have from your window...
