Description

Hello! I have always been fascinated buy houseleek. They look like tiny cactus and they can grow on almost nothing. Thanks for your kind comments to yesterdays post and special thanks to those who added it to favorites. Have a wonderful sunday. Here it is stormy weather and cold too. :-/

this is just a knockout, Helle. A bristling, blasting eye-explosion, and your macro sense at its most fun & dramatic. I don't know if you 'eat' those things, but if I ate that I'd probably take off for the moon! The macro world loves you because you show it in its most dramatic light. One of these days, all the flowers & plants & insects will give you a surprise party, and you'll know how much they loved you all along. Beautiful. A fav. Tons of stars...

Incredible - good job it is a house leek and not a house leak - I don't think I've ever seen one of those before either - thank you for continuing to educate us and surprise us with your beautiful works of art

I never thought of hen and chicks as a texture shot, but wow ... look at that! Your plant looks happy and healthy, and your photography is gorgeous. How interesting to know it's called a house leek ... I'd never heard that before. Thanks for the beautiful photograph and the new information!

I've never heard them called this but know them as one of the many varieties of hen and chicks. I also marvel at the beauty of them and your capture is perfect!
